RIP: Isaac Hayes
Isaac Hayes, born in 1942 in Covington, Tenn. died on Sunday August 10th, about 8 hours ago, in Memphis. At 65, he was a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and a famous soul singer most well known for singing “Theme from Shaft“.
The Grammy winner also voiced “Chef” on South Park until he quit in 2006 after an episode which mocked Scientology aired on Comedy Central.
One thing that really pulled me back was when I checked his Wikipedia page today I found someone made a very obtuse joke on his page, which you can see below.
Another thought that made me think was the fact that Bernie Mac, entertainer and comedian, died the previous day. Which is peculiar because both Hayes and Mac just finished production on a MGM film titled Soul Men.
Soul Men will be released in theaters November 14, 2008, and will be starring Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson.
God bless.

Dude its really creepy how people are dying left and right lately. And its usually not even a week apart from each other. Isaac Hayes was like the Barry White of the next generation I’m sure his damned smooth voice got many a lay. So I hope he’s resting in peace knowing that.
