I Finally Upgraded to Leopard!

After what seemed like ions, I upgraded my trusty old iMac G5 to Leopard. Panther was beginning to show its age so using 10.5 is such a pleasure. Mac OS X is beginning to mature, not age, very well.

Ironically enough, I was “forced” to upgrade because my girlfriend, Laura, surprised me with a birthday gift, an iPhone 3G. But the iPhone required Leopard to work.

If there is one disappointment in the upgrade, it’s that Leopard doesn’t show a huge improvement in styles of fonts. I mean, my friends have had Tiger and I used to use Tiger at work, so there wasn’t a whole lot of new fonts for me to look forward to. And it doesn’t seem that Snow Leopard (10.6) will show a vast improvement on font types either.

21st birthday bitches!

Bring a friend if you would like. But please bring your own liquor. I will supply the mixes, garnishes, cups, strap-ons what-have-you. But I just can’t afford to have enough liquor to supply the invited guests.

See you there.

SHORTS: The Ticket

Okay, now that you have seen “SNAFU”, you can watch “The Ticket”. The first film I worked on with good friend Chad Moulder. This was the original film we were going to send in The Doorpost Film Project before Chad decided to film “SNAFU”.

Enjoy

SHORTS: SNAFU

The Doorpost video contest is over, so I can finally post the short film on-line. So you know I only starred in this film and nothing else, a first for me.

enjoy

Script - “The Window”

Sorry for not posting lately. But here I am.

I just finished co-writing a short film script with my good friend, Mike Pupo.

The film’s production name is “The Window” but I haven’t thought of any good names for the actual title, so if you have one, please leave it in the comments section please.

You can download the script in PDF below, please tell me what you think

“SNAFU” film completed!

Alright, Chad Moulder’s short film “SNAFU” (Situation Normal, All Fucked Up) took two production days and overnight editing. But it’s up on-line and ready to go.

So head over to The Door Post and vote for Chad’s film (staring yours truly) and hopefully he can be in the final round of the video contest. I can’t legally post the film up on my site without Chad being disqualified from the contest, so I’ll post it up once the contest is over.

In the mean time, check out this montage of poduction stills below.

“The Spirit” Teaser Trailer

Alright this is a great one.

Frank Miller (Batman: Year One, Sin City, 300) Penned and Directed “The Spirit”. A long running comic book that wrote the book on how to write comics for adults. Even Alan Moore is inspired by this stuff.

Anyways, they showed the teaser trailer at NYCC (New York Comic Con) last week, but it’s been leaked. I’m totally stoked.

It’s Frank Miller’s first film and I can’t wait, I just don’t understand why they chose Brian De Palma’s “The Untouchables” Theme Song for the trailers score.

Weird.

VLOG - Episode 1 - The Phantom (insert joke)

Sorry this took so long. But here is my first video blog entry. I still don’t have a name for the series, so any recommendations? Comment if you got one.

Easily the best thing I’ve seen in weeks…

New Domain Name

Well, now that I have been setting up my new web resume/blog for my films and interests, I thought I would make this a little more professional.

So two new additions to the site.

1. It is officially www.brianolyaryz.com so it’s easier to remember (though I doubt people will spell it right).

2. My new web address is brian@brianolyaryz.com

The new web address is for business e-mails. But anyone can e-mail me at that address, it just redirects to my Gmail account anyways.

Well, gotta go work on the next post, Talk to you guys soon. Leave comments! They are good for the site!
